You’ll work with real watch components and watchmaking tools, while the more difficult preparation is already taken care of. Our step-by-step Build Guide and instructional videos guide you through the process from start to finish.

Quite a lot.

You fit the dial to the mechanical movement, find midnight, install the hour, minute and seconds hands, place the completed movement into the case, fit the crown and stem, close the case and attach the strap or bracelet.

The automatic movement itself arrives fully assembled, and the crown stem is already cut to the correct length.

Everything you need to complete your watch is included: the mechanical movement, case, dial, hands, crown and stem, strap or bracelet, watchmaking tools and the components required for assembly.

All you need is a clean, well-lit workspace and a little patience.

Our current watches use the NH35 automatic mechanical movement, with 24 jewels, automatic and manual winding, hacking seconds and a date function.

When fully wound, it has approximately 41 hours of power reserve. The movement arrives fully assembled.

The build requires concentration and a steady hand, but no previous watchmaking experience.

Some steps, particularly fitting the hands, require patience and precision. We’ve deliberately prepared the more difficult elements in advance, including assembling the movement and cutting the crown stem to the correct length.

Take your time and follow each step of the Build Guide before moving on to the next.

Most first-time builders should allow around two to three hours.

There is no need to rush. Taking your time is part of the experience.

You’re not on your own. Our Build Guide includes instructional videos, and personal build support is available without buying a service.

Our combined paid completion and repair service includes necessary replacement watch components, without separate assessment, parts or labour invoices. A possible manufacturing defect follows the separate warranty route: contact us before paying.

Where the lifetime warranty formed part of the purchase, it covers manufacturing defects in the supplied movement and watch components, for as long as the original purchaser or original gift recipient owns the watch. Self-assembly does not itself invalidate coverage.

Assembly mistakes, accidental damage and ordinary wear use the paid-service route rather than the defect warranty. Problems caused by defective instructions or Horologic’s own work are not treated as your assembly error. Earlier purchases retain their applicable commitments and statutory rights. Yes. The Horologic Watch Completion & Repair Service completes or restores an existing Horologic watch or build for one fixed price. Necessary replacement watch components are included. There is no separate assessment fee, routine parts quotation or additional parts or labour invoice.

If compatible replacement components are no longer available, we’ll contact you personally and propose an alternative solution. A different model requires your agreement.

Please allow up to four weeks from the date your watch reaches Horologic in Switzerland. Transit time to and from Switzerland is additional.

For paid service, you arrange and pay for sending the watch to Switzerland. Return delivery is collected at checkout.

The Swiss total includes VAT and return delivery. The US return charge includes prepaid import charges, with no second import charge or later customs-reconciliation invoice from Horologic; any separately required domestic sales tax is shown at checkout.

For other destinations, including euro-priced markets, destination import VAT, duties and carrier fees are excluded and payable by the recipient. Covered warranty remedies have separate shipping arrangements; contact us before booking the paid service.

It mainly comes down to the style and proportions you prefer.

Sportsman is a versatile 40 mm everyday watch with a contemporary character.

Explorer is a 41 mm field watch with a brushed stainless-steel case, distinctive arrow hands and a brown suede strap. Choose a green, blue, black or yellow dial.

Black Sea Diver is a bolder 40 mm design inspired by classic dive watches.

Heritage Two-Tone has more traditional proportions at 39 mm and a refined two-tone finish, making it particularly versatile for smaller wrists as well.

Absolutely. It’s one of the reasons Horologic exists.

Instead of giving someone a finished watch, you give them the experience of building it themselves. When the assembly is finished, they’re left with a mechanical watch they have a genuine connection to.

Yes. The recipient can contact Horologic directly for personal build support and aftercare, without purchasing a service first.

An original Horologic order reference is required for a paid completion or repair booking. We can help locate it when necessary. Both service choices have the same price.

Yes. Horologic ships internationally from Switzerland with tracking.

Available shipping options and costs are calculated for your destination during checkout.

Each model’s water-resistance specification is shown on its product page.

Because the final watch is assembled by you, we recommend treating water resistance conservatively unless your completed watch has subsequently been pressure tested.

Horologic is based in St-Prex, Switzerland, where each experience is curated, checked, prepared and packed.

The components are sourced internationally, including the Japanese NH35 movement. The completed watches are not Swiss-made.

Yes. We also host small-group Horologic watchmaking workshops in Switzerland.

Instead of building at home, you assemble your watch with hands-on guidance in a relaxed workshop setting.
