Onyx Black Watchmaking Kit

Very good kit and fairly easy to assemble. Was surprised at the quality of the materials, the strap is genuine leather with a highly polished buckle, the watch case is highly polished and smooth and has quite a bit of weight to it. The Mercedes hands look great and the watch looks great when finished.
There are a couple of issues though, but these are only minor ones which would help to improve the kit etc:-
1: the kit could do with some Rodico or a blower.
2: the loupe has good magnification but only if you look directly through the centre, the edges are blurry, my other loupes are clear vision to the edges, a better loupe would be beneficial.
3: a watchmakers mat would be useful too.
4: the dial has 4 location pins but the movement only has 2 location holes, the instructions and video do not explain this or tell you that you need to snap off 2 of the location pin.
Overall I am really impressed with the kit. It took me approx 2hrs to assemble the watch. Been wearing the watch now for just over an hour and it seems to be keeping good time. I would recommend this kit to anyone who is interested in starting watchmaking as a hobby or as a gift for someone looking for something different to try.
